Dagmar Daley - Simple, Sophisticated Girlswear

   

As a dad to a baby girl, I find myself getting overwhelmed all too often with the cotton candy colors splashed onto little girls' clothes, much less the cutesy animals emblazoned on them. It was therefore refreshing to come across the clothing by San Francisco-based Dagmar Daley (who works just a stone's throw away from where I used to live).

Her designs are simple yet sophisticated as well as vintage yet modern. Her collection relies on fine detailing rather than loud colors to make a statement. The cap-sleeves and wide, gathered neckline of her peasant blouse; the reproduction print and piped pocket of the party dress; and the narrow waist band with loop button closure of the Olivia skirt are examples of why some consider Dagmar Daley's clothes the most stunning girlswear.
