Marilyn Neuhart T&O Embroidered Dolls

These handcrafted Marilyn Neuhart dolls are too cool for words. The fancy embroidery; the bold, contrasting colors; and the hand-stitched yarn hair truly make these dolls one of a kind. No wonder they were so popular at Alexander Girard's textile shop in NYC in the early 1960s. Each doll also has its own name.
Available exclusively at maXimo, a very cool site that also features wonderful design and art objects from Alexander Girard and Alexander Calder.

Adorable! But am I reading those prices correctly or is my browser going crazy?!?
I have to say I'm not feeling it. I go more for the stuff they have at sites like Wee Wonderfuls. But as always, thanks for finding the cool and unusual for us to see!
it seems that the same object c.1960 is $1500(which is prolly appraised at the high end) is almost the same price as the ones created by neuhart this year. I think I prefer the vintage look.
I love them so much. Hope they are still around when my ship comes in...
